For my thoughts i use Obi Wans Words as a foundation to my Ideas. In Return of the Jedi, he told Luke, that Anakin Skywalker was gone, when Darth Vader rosed. Even Luke tells, that Vader forgot who he was, and that his Father maybe really dead. When i watched the Trilogy in the late 70s and early 80s, i get the point of view, that Darth Vader, was a dark side creature, made by Anakin Skywalker, who got almost completely destroyed by his creation. Like Frankenstein, who got killed by his monster. This make more sense to me, than a struggling Vader, who also visited Padmes grave. In the Movies Vader was shown as a ruthless Villain, who don’t care to kill millions of lives, even his Son, if he don’t want to join him. Or to kill the Emperor, what he offers to Luke. As it looks to me, he did not had any regrets, of what he did, or what he is. Only the appearing of Skywalkers son, make the sleeping Anakin rise and overcome Vader. He had 3 years time, to rise, after Vader and Luke met at Bespin. 

Ok, thats are just my thoughts. But i think, if Vader was a very strong, supernatural Creature, that dominates and obsessed his creator, would give more dramatical possibilities in the future. Even a Return of Darth Vader, who would still exist somewhere after Anakins death, looking for a liveform he can dominate and use. 

In a way, Anakin would also have created life, what would make him one of the strongest force-users ever.

So thats just my ideas. What you think?
